Oliver Emre Aygun is an accomplished health informatics professional with a comprehensive background in patient care improvement initiatives across Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. Holding an Executive Master's in Health Informatics from the University of Toronto and a Research Master's in Rehabilitation Science from McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Oliver brings a wealth of expertise to his roles.

 

As a Health Technology and Health System Design Advisor, Oliver is a multi-talented expert with a proven track record in managing complex projects, clinical work, and medical research. His hands-on consulting experience spans a range of areas, including blockchain, SaaS, EHR/EMR systems, and EPIC. He is proficient in SQL, R Dashboarding, Biostatistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Change Management, Project Management (PMP), Human-centered Design, Quality Assurance, Usability Testing, Interface Development, and Electronic Health Records.

 

Oliver's skillset includes a deep understanding of data governance (data glossary, stewardship, GDPR, PHIPA, and AIDA), systems design, and enterprise architecture. He is adept at standards and frameworks such as FHIR, SMART-on-FHIR, HL7v2, DICOM, SNOMED-CT, ICD-10, DAMA DMBOK, CDMP, and tools including Collibra, Informatica, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

 

Oliver brings a profound commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, as evidenced by his support for programs that elevate Black communities, the elderly, and newcomers to Canada. His leadership in digital health and advocacy for anti-Black racism initiatives showcase his dedication to creating equitable and inclusive healthcare environments.
